Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Past: 3 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Ignore

For many weeks – and many more weeks to come – Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s past has been the hottest topic in Nigerian Social Media Space. But no matter how deep Nigerians dig, the political gladiator proves to be two steps ahead of the 200 million citizens of the African most populous nation. What has turned into an ultimate search only produces unclear shreds of evidence. Till today, Nigerians are not sure of the age, birth history, and educational qualifications of their Presidential-bound candidate. However, whenever Nigerians search for Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s past, the available information always shows a dark cloud.

While some people believe that Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s past is something Nigerians should overlook, there are 3 reasons why you shouldn’t join this band of merry men.

  1. You Have The Right To Know Who You Are Engaging

In every association, identity is sacrosanct. You can neither open a Facebook account without identifying yourself nor be a part of any group without first filling out your information.

You have the right to know whoever you are engaging with. Only then will you know what you are involving yourself in.

Today, most Nigerians do not know the real name of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. No one knows the primary or secondary school he attended. Most stories of the APC’s presidential candidate started in the mid-70s.

Taking a chance without knowing Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s past is a tremendous gamble. And life is too short for such a risky chance.

  1. Humans Are Product Of Their Past

I believe in repentance but I will never leave my 8-year-old daughter in the house of a repented child molester. The person you are today is the composition of every environment you have been to, every person you have met, and all your interaction with them.

What can you say of a man that wants to be the ruler of a country in obvious danger?

Nigerians know nothing about Tinubu’s journey to fame and fortune. And Bola Ahmed Tinubu told Nigerians that he made his first million dollars working with Deloitte and Touche (Audit and Management Consulting Firm). In 2016, Tinubu told the media that he earned a whopping $1.8 million working with Deloitte and Touche

“The bonus was $850,000, before taxes. My salaries were also being paid into the bank and I was not touching them. At the time, my salary deposits in the bank had risen to about $1.8 million.”

The claim is presently under scrutiny. There are dark edges to the declaration. And there is no old friend or family member of Bola Tinubu that will confirm his story. It is as if no one alive knows Bola Tinubu.

Standing with Tinubu is taking a chance with what you do not know. And Only Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Past Can Tell You Who He Is.

  1. We Only Hide What We Don’t Want The World To See

Politics has a way of putting politicians under pressure. Even the present President of Nigeria, Mohammed Buhari, succumbed to that pressure. To prove that he had a certificate, he assembled people that claimed they schooled together. But Bola Ahmed Tinubu claimed that his academic certificates were stolen by unknown persons while he was on self-exile.

This is a flimsy excuse. As a graduate of Chicago State University, Bola Tinubu must have submitted his primary and secondary school qualifications before studying Accounting. He can easily write to the school to provide him with the documents.

The only conclusion to this hide and seek is that there are skulls and scapulars in Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s past. And if he wants to be your president, you have the right to demand transparency.
